The Riverina Rams
The game of AFL Masters provides the opportunity for players 32 years and over to enjoy the game of Aussie Rules Football in a safe, supportive and fun environment. MAF has a national standardised set of modified rules designed to reduce the risks of injury and has the benefit of being acknowledged and supported by the AFL and the Australian Sports Commission.
You will find a welcoming atmosphere at the Rams club with an emphasis on family involvement and fun social interaction. The Rams are based in Wagga but we try to organise games with local teams containing their Old Boys. This has included games with Temora, Mangoplah and Coolamon and going forward we are looking at expanding this to include more “local” games.
The Masters competition includes Bathurst, Illawarra, Macarthur (Sydney) and Canberra. Each team runs a carnival where all teams play each other once. These are held once throughout the season. The season culminates with National Carnival which is played annually at various State venues.
